The following is a list of questions and answers that should satisfy any issues you might have with respect to an extended Car Warranty.
1. I understand that National Warranty Services Inc is a national warranty broker. Who am I actually purchasing the warranty from?
National Warranty Services Inc is a licensed broker of extended auto warranties and represents the top direct insured warranty companies in the industry. We negotiate the best price and coverage for you with the actual warranty provider. You are actually purchasing your warranty directly from the warranty company.
National Warranty Services Inc does not process or pay for any claims. These matters are handled by your warranty company. You are actually purchasing the warranty directly from the warranty provider you've selected and any claims should be directed to their claims department. Please keep the warranty company claims phone number provided in your vehicle in the event you need to have repairs done.
2.How can I research a company to see if it is reliable?
One of the best ways to check out a company is thru one of the BBB web sites
3. Can I cancel my service agreement?
To ensure your complete satisfaction we provide a 30 day full refund policy provided you have not made any claims on the warranty. Should you feel this warranty is not right for you simply write “void” on your contract and mail it back to us. After the first 30 days you may cancel your policy at any time, provided you have not made any claims, and you will be refunded the pro-rated unused portion of your warranty coverage. After the first 30 days there will be a $100.00 cancellation fee in addition to any cancellations fees outlined in your contract. Please be aware that some warranty companies do not allow cancellations after the first 30 days but National Warranty Services Inc does. Review your warranty contract carefully to determine cancellation options, procedures, and fees.
4. What is bumper-to-bumper coverage?
True bumper-to-bumper coverage is always ‘exclusionary’ coverage. This means that everything on a vehicle is covered excluding certain items such as maintenance, trim items like moldings, weather-stripping, etc. However, in recent years, some warranty companies have begun using the term “bumper-to-bumper” much more liberally in an effort to apparently give consumers the impression that they are receiving more coverage than they actually are. US Direct Protect does not use the term in that fashion. Our Max or “Bumper to Bumper” plans are true exclusionary coverage and is most like your vehicle’s original bumper-to-bumper warranty.
5. What if my dealer does not accept vehicle service contracts?
Most Dealerships appreciate our business. There is no reason not to accept a service contract from Auto Warranty One. Our administrator pays the recommended price for parts and labor for all covered repairs. Payment is made quickly with our corporate Visa/Mastercard and delays in our streamlined claims process are seldom.
6. What is Wear and Tear coverage?. Ask your US Direct Protect VSC agent if this is covered under your policy.
Wear and Tear coverage refers to a malfunctioning component that is fixable under your car service contract because that part is excessively "worn" but not necessarily broken. Most of our plans come with "wear and tear" coverage
7. Is there a deductible that I will have to pay?
Most plans offered through National Warranty Services Inc have $0, $50, $100 or $200 deductibles based on your vehicle's year, make, model and mileage. All National Warranty Services Inc Extended Auto Warranties have deductibles that are payable per visit-not per part! This means that all repairs completed during your vehicle's visit to the ASE certified repair facility of your choice require only one (1) deductible. Compare these plans with the fine print in other plans that require deductible payments for each repaired component group. "Factory-like" and "Luxury" plans even have a zero ($0) deductible option. Be sure to inform your representative if you choose to upgrade from the standard $50 deductible to our zero ($0) deductible option.
8. Do National Warranty Services Inc Vehicle Service Contracts include roadside assistance benefits?
Yes. When providing warranty for cars, almost every plan includes a roadside assistance package with a toll free telephone number that covers towing; jump-starts; flat-tire changing; fuel, oil, or other fluid delivery; and entry when keys are locked in your car. Under our extended warranties, cars will receive roadside assistance when necessary.
9. Do I really need the protection of a car service contract?
As your car ages and increases mileage, mechanical failure is a reality and, frankly, one of the reasons why manufacturer warranties are so short lived. Additionally, there are many hi-tech components such as computer-related functions that can fail, regardless of your driving habits. Without the protection of auto warranties, cars are left vulnerable to damage and, ultimately, unusability.
10.Can I buy the same coverage through my dealer?
Yes, but, plan on paying the dealer's commission. This often means the price is higher for similar coverage and you may be required to have the repairs done at the dealer facility. Additionally, many dealers do not offer $0 deductibles. With us, you'll have the freedom to choose any ASE certified repair facility throughout the United States. With most dealer plans, coverage begins at the "in-service" date. Our plans begin coverage the day you enroll in our protection plan. We offer you longer and more comprehensive coverage for less. More Importantly, you pay interest when you buy your extended car warranty from a dealership at the time of the vehicle`s purchase.
11. What do I do when I experience a problem with my vehicle? How is a claim processed? Where can I go to have my vehicle repaired?
Take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility. (Any auto dealership, repair shop or private mechanic of your choice).
